Trust Governance

Having joined the YES Trust on 1st December 2024,  the Black Country Alternative Provision’s governance function is overseen by the YES Trust Board of Trustees.

Following academisation, BCAP has established two Education Review Boards for the Vireo and Kairos Academies whose responsibilities and duties are delegated by the Board of Trustees as determined by the YES Trust Scheme of Delegation.

The role of local governance in YES Trust schools is to oversee the work of the school and ensure that pupils are getting the best possible education experience that they can. They play a critical friend role to the Senior Leaders, challenging them to ensure the best outcomes for pupils are being achieved, but also supporting them and the school, and being part of The BCAP community.
